Who can apply?
Hand Up, Not Hand Out is open to disabled people who have a big idea or have a specific need that doesn’t qualify for funding from anywhere else.
What can the grant be used for?
The Fund promotes disabled people’s journey toward employment.
How do I apply?
All applications must be submitted via the application form.
Application criteria
- You can apply for either full or partial funding
- Your application goal promotes your employment goal
- You can demonstrate there are long term benefits from your idea
- You must describe your project, the budget needed and the outcomes you expect
How to Structure your application?
You must submit your application via the application form – unavailable at this time, but you can upload documents to support your application but to ensure your application covers off all the key assessment criteria, this structure may help guide your application.
- Define in as much detail what your application is, provide an itemised list if your application involves purchasing specific things or services
- Provide a cost breakdown for your application which clearly shows where the funds are going and what each component is worth.
- Explain how the application will lead to greater Independence and what long-term benefits will be a result of the application
- Provide a statement around any previous research which satisfies the criteria that your application isn’t able to be funded anywhere else
How are funds awarded?
A panel reviews each application and is instructed to award funding to as many applicants as possible within the funding budget.
Please note that all grant recipients must satisfy character requirements. Applications will be assessed for character suitability, and grants may be declined or revoked if character standards are not met.
What will be expected of me if I am successful?
By accepting the funding, you agree to allow the WorkBridge Foundation to use your details for positive publicity and sharing of stories. Successful applicants must be willing to report on outcomes
